Voices Across Generations:
Race and New London

About The Performance:

Intergenerational New London residents participated in a 2-week workshop in partnership with New York-based theater company, Houses on the Moon, whose mission is to “dispel ignorance and isolation through the theatrical amplification of unheard voices.” Participants worked with three performance and theater facilitators: Jon Wenc, local New London theater teacher; Miles Grose, improv artist/writer; and Stephanie George, poet. This workshop culminated in a multimedia performance on July 16th that spoke to themes of racial justice – both past and present – in New London. The performance was free and open to all. This project was funded by a grant from the Mellon Foundation
